Immunopathology When the normal immune system is altered or malfunctions, it can provoke illness or disease. This illness or diseases are due to over reacting of immune system (so called as hypersensitivity reactions), inappropriate reaction to own (auto immunity) or by ineffective immune response (immunodeficiency). Types of Hypersensitivity reactions include: 
• Type I: immediate hypersensitivity. 
• Type II: cytotoxic or antibody-dependent hypersensitivity. 
• Type III: immune complex disease. 
• Type IV: delayed-type hypersensitivity.
